The chaos of the tidal wave that barraged our western coastline is still present. Aid from inland and other countries is helping to relocate the survivors to temporary camps and shelters. Damage costs are being estimated at 200 billion pounds. However, the damage could be even more devastating. The flooding was nothing compared to what could be expected from such an event. This leads to the question, How did this island form?
Experts have been debating and studying data recorded and observed at the time of the formation of the island. A key detail is an unusual recording on our earthquake censors. A sharp and precise "pop" was recorded. This leads experts to the theory that a kind of rock or metal barrier under or on the ocean floor popped under the pressure of a building bubble of magma that was always present but never before registered. This lead to a great expulsion or rock from the depths of the sea. This theory does not explain the lack of a large tsunami, however. For further verification, scientists will have to set foot on the island, which is still impossible dew to the scorching steam that restricts entrance.
